Love Poem: LONELINESS BY OLADELE MARYAM

LONELINESS BY OLADELE MARYAM

Friend
Twilight and evening bell
Jingling and screaming like a rose of jungle
Then came a gentle breeze tap behind my gentle skin
Alas!
There stood my helper
And journey through the memory lane
But I ignored for I believe my time has gone long ago.
And stood there my helper,
A man like Angel
A beautiful one at that!
Every woman's dream and imagination
An angel and a savior.

Then a sharp pain arouse in me
I shall not die as foolish lovers do
Near, far wherever you are
I believe that my heart linger
Though hitching heart takes time to heal
But my angel never give up
It's like he was made for me
Though my mind and heart won't let me rest
Thinking about him gives me goosebumps
Looking at him makes my blood boil
But I disagree with my heart
For am afraid of another rejection
The more closer the less my pain
Being with him melt all my worries away
I feel at ease when with him
Though I didn't understand my feelings
Nor wish to define my looks for him
When with him, all eyes became jealous of me
Wishing he were theirs not mine.

Friend
Like eventide that bear the ancient tales
The moon came out beautiful and unique
We sat on the tree under the moonlight
Our hearts keep whispering
I felt nervous, then his heart spoke through his mouth
My mind and heart keeps racing
My emotions are naked
Taking me out of my mind.

Friend
I feel the silence of love
The moonlight birds won't stop singing
I wish I could pretend not to hear their song
But my ear could not agreeing with me.
Nightingale!
Bird of comfort, his song calm my mind
But not for long.
A feeling I never felt arouse in me
Then in my weakness, I found my strength
And found myself in a pool of love
A new day has come
Brought a new light to my life
My entire life, I was finally someone's dream
His love for me was like a stream of ocean
He is a mystery I want to solve
My world feel at ease when with him
An angel created for me
My days were filled with happiness and love
A dream never seen nor feel came true.
