Love Poem: Lola

Lola

Her voice was like warm, sticky candy
overflowing with adorable nymphete charm
She spoke with rapt, intoxicating energy,
the sort that compelled you to protect her from harm
She smiled in a way that spoke of innocence,
that sort of naivety that conceals cunning
No one could ever replicate her style of romance
A fiery, passionate, heavy, sugary sort of loving
She came during summer nights saturated in beer and dying
An age of self loathing and morose morbidity
Like a moth to a flame, towards me she came flying
In her I found an affection filled with naked purity
and we shared an affair, obsession burning
Lovers lost in a dangerous desire eternally
How this sweet young maiden could love me, I never knew
I was the bitter disease corrupting her heart
Just know that I loved her from the start, I beg of you
I loved her even when I threw sand on our flame and tore us apart
