Live and Let It Die

 UNSUPPORTED CODE
As the last bit of uncertainty
Splatters over the worn-out
              tongue and groove
I sit here
Waiting
Wondering if I will live or die

                             From embarrassment

I was no more
                  Than a jester
In your court
When I thought myself a lady
Vying for your favor

Now that I have been
Called out as a fool
I desperately want to disappear
To dissolve through the cracks in the floor
And hide in the shadows
Until I recover
                                from the confusion
