Live a Little

when the music slows down it's final call

women and men pushing their way through the halls

locked in stalls rolling spliffs for the long haul

stuffing beer bottles under their wife beaters

scuffing up their new white adidas sneakers

cars lining up along the street

music bumping bass lines thumping people krumping

walking with a swagger pistol locked and loaded

finger on the trigger ego growing bigger

g-strings getting wet pussy is a pet

falling in love for the moment reality they soon forget

hennessey on their breath cotton mouth making them vex

cruising along the west side highway on your way to 125th

building up an appetite meeting at sylvia's to eat

the nights just beginning soon as we get done eating

the after parties will soon be popping

everyone who's someone will be stopping in

bring your own alcohol vodka jack daniels and gin

bootie all around getting head underground

true love may be found but in here everyone gets around

new york to the heart we got love for all

until five o shows up cause the neighbors did call

woop woop thats the sound of the police

illegal name on the lease handcuffed to the chair

stashing weed in her hair she don't care

a typical night in the city that never sleeps

code of silence amongst those whose word they keep
