Little White Lies

friends ask me why i believe your little white lies
family pressures me to wake up and get wise
but what they can never realize
is that your little white lies...

chase away my blues
chase away my blues
love is only a game
it always ends the same
too little joy and to much pain
what is truth when in love
assure me i am your only love
little white lies tease me
little white lies ease me
little white lies please me
in your arms tonight
what's wrong whose right
when i am with you
loving pretty you
kissing away those blues

i know you play me
your sweet love slays me
but i am not asking you to save me
the night is young
your touch is real
those little white lies
fill me with thrills
why would i leave you
will i always need you
too deep to realize
your heart is disguised
i am beginning to believe
those little white lies
look soulfully into my eyes
tell me that you love me only
let me escape being lonely
whisper what my heart won't deny
tell me those sweet little white lies

chase away my blues
chase away my blues
little white lies tease me
little white lies ease me
little white lies please me
loving pretty you
how could a little white lie make you blue
how could a little white lie make you blue
