Listen to the Wind

Stirring the feelings, blessings so gentle, in light I discover the songs of my dreams, my soul’s belief Stars fall and memories plead with me at night Where the last tears I shed for you are such a relief Listen to the wind as it sings in waves of grace Mellow notes of bittersweet, swift and praising Softly, withered threads of a leaf’s quiet embrace Pouring over my heart, so gentle, delicate, amazing Stirring the heart, beautiful that finds it truth Along the streets of yesterday, I once understood You were just there, like the grass or tree, in our youth Whispering love softly, singing songs like we should Listen to the wind murmur its light over my soul A miracle blowing silence through the notes of peace Forever risking my heart on the time your love stole Moments weary with the melody that will never cease Stirring in my spirit, the joy of September Listen to the wind, a breathless moan of prayer Revealing the wonder of hope felt, I remember!
