“17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Eph 3:17-19 NIV

How wide and long and high and deep
Is the Father’s Limitless Love?
This love surpasses knowledge,
As it comes down from heaven above.
His love is all-inclusive—
Unearned and undeserved.
His goal is that none perish,
But for eternity be preserved.

Christ’s Limitless Love is for His children;
By our Father we are drawn.
From His Fatherly love we’re inseparable
From the time that we are born.
His love is very protective,
And demonstrated by devotion.
His Limitless Love surpasses human love,
That’s tarnished by selfish manifestation.

Christ’s Limitless Love is disciplinary
For our eternal benefit.
Made to train us in His way of righteousness;
In our dependence to submit.
For every cause there is an effect;
God has order and laws to honor.
When we obey His wishes,
We stay always in His favor.

His Limitless Love is forgiving;
He blots out our sins from on high.
His repentance is a gift of grace,
We can choose to accept or deny.
He is faithful in His forgiveness,
And asks that we forgive.
Christ’s Limitless Love is the reason,
He died that we might live.
