Like Shadows In My Tired Mind

Like Shadows In My Tired Mind

Like shadows in my tired mind
you danced in wisps of cool breeze.
Your deep treasure I did find
yet you left me with such ease.
I had found thorns on your rose
holes in your dancing shoes.
Large cuts on your pretty toes
dark truth in your bad news.

Like shadows in my tired mind
you danced in wisps of cool breeze.
Your deep treasure I did find
yet you left me with such ease.

Such ease, this heart deceit shattered.
To you- had it ever mattered?
