Love Poem: Like 'Dancing On the Ceiling'

Like 'Dancing On the Ceiling'

I meander as a lonely cloud
That drifts on the horizon
All alone now love has gone
It’s really no surprise then

Drifting in and out of life
From the outside looking in
Even friends and family
Can't stop the pain within

It’s the sharing and the caring
That are my biggest heartache
Missing the crazy things we did
Feeling my heart will surely break

Like ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’
Lionel singing ‘All Night Long’
‘Is It Me You’re Looking For’, you sang
Oh boy, we really loved that song

I miss you hugging me so tight
No single word was needed
As we embraced my one true love
My heart and soul to you conceded

To laugh and cry with tears of joy
Like when we had our baby boy
No one to share with anymore
When I get home and shut my door

For loneliness it never ends
In spite of love from family and friends
Who love and care and do their best
But it’s not enough for me I quess

It is the touch
It is the sharing
It is the knowing
It is the caring

You see
I miss you darling dear
So lonely
now that you’re not here
