Love Poem: Light Years From You

Light Years From You

This is a space love poem —
Romantic Warrior

Resting in a Zekar winter space harbor,
under the crimson crescent
of it’s fourth moon
So many light years
from your sky village
Oh, how I miss those rainbow waterfalls
Your Tamerian love is waiting ...
cascading from the crystal clouds
Being a deep space merchant,
on this galactic caravan,
takes me so very far from you
I send you my love,
send it via
a subspace hologram
Soon will fly thru the Vra nebula,
a dark forest of stars
Moving further away, I think of you often ...
and those idyllic Pyrian days
I dream of you each night
on this long cosmic flight
And I need not ask,
do you dream of me too
This lonely Kryptonaut
is so many light years from you
This lonely half-human
can’t wait to get back to you
My shuttle craft love
is forever parked
in the cargo bay of your heart
With space business now complete,
you’re more than a holodeck need ...
so many light years to get back to you
Traveling now at maximum warp,
speeding back towards
the sun of you ... center of my gravity
Sending you my return love,
sending it via
a virtual message beamed back to you
My shuttle craft love
is waiting to dock
in the cargo bay of your heart
As I countdown the light years
bringing me closer
Closer to your beautiful soul
Now the light years are not as far away ...
my love, it’s approaching zero
