Lifeline 3
After so many silent nights
repairs have been made
and connections rebuilt –
The Lifeline has been restored.
Now I can relearn how valuable
your voice is to me
when it’s coming over those thin wires
which comprise our telephone Lifeline.
If only you could know how much at ease
our daily conversations make me
then surely you’d understand
why the Lifeline has meant so much to me.
For now, there’s nowhere on Earth
where we can’t use it –
such a wonderful tool given us –
Our Lifeline.
