Life starts out in the tunnel of love
then your born into a world of push and shove
Grow up fast grow up strong
learn whats right and do whats wrong
As we travel through our heart
searching every darkened part
We find the things we don't want to see
we find we are who we don't want to be
Christ can save us from our sin
but it is us who must change from within
It is hard when we try
but not impossible for you and I
The nights are bright and the days are dark
as we stroll through the streets and run through the park
We are giants to see as we trample the flowers
self made gods in ivory towers
With blood stained hands we rule the land
taking everything we can
gods we think therefore we are
not knowing that we are but a spark
Reaching out into the Fathers universe
trying to overflow our purse
Blind as a dead mans eyes
we strut in our magnificent disguise
Proud of all the wrong we do
and then poor God we blame it all on You
Free will is a gift to man
a gift we fail to understand
Doing what we must not do
hurting each other and hurting You
Taking our freedom and binding it in law
we bind ourselves and lock our jaw
Such is the life of human kind
as we live our lives inside our minds
This nightmare in which we live
could be a dream if love we'd give
We all know love comes from above
lighting on us as the spirit dove
Love could be an unquenchable flame
and be passed on again and again
If only we choose to change from with in
