Love Poem: Life Is So Cold Without You

Life Is So Cold Without You

life is so cold without you
i find myself covered in ice under my sheets
the heat has all but stopped working
the main source of electricity is gone

there is no chemistry that's active
i have to do everything the old fashion way
the drought is getting more obvious
i am malnourished and so thirsty for some love

community has abandoned me
i am a misanthrope by choice as well as force
i make a harp out of the cobwebs
i play classical variations of the blues

if i could see your smiling face once more
i'll risk all pants begging you please on bended knees
you are my life's decoration
there is no use in living if i can't wake up to the Gift of You

life is so cold without you
i have chipped teeth from the constant chattering
the blankets are all worn and shredded
my body heat might as well be a block of ice too

there is nobody else for me
you are the only one who completes very part of me
i was so wrong to take you for granted
now i'm a mere shell of what you made me to be

life is so cold without you
i am a tearful tan snowman with a broken heart
i do deserve this comeuppance
i did my dirt so i am getting it in return

i never thought that it would hurt this much
i never thought that my emotions could get this raw
i'm left to dwell in this igloo
moving on has become so hard that i feel stillborn

life is so cold without you
my eyes are focused on any movement of the door
i know the door will stay the same now
the weight i put on has now all fallen on me

payback's a mother and she's whipping me
oh yes indeed she's really burning my hide good
i just man up and i take it
the next go round i won't so dumb and insecure

for one more chance i would do anything
for just one look i would go anywhere
you say jump...i'll jump...i do not care
you took the crown so i'm no longer king

life is so cold without you
life is so cold without you
life is so cold without you
life is so cold....without you....
