Life Is Short
Life is full of surprises, some good and some bad.
It's the cycle of things, whether I am happy or sad.
I've lost some I loved, others slipped away,
I push back those memories for another long day.
Today I should cherish those I really hold dear,
Love and laughter each day, with no time for a tear.
