Love Poem: Lies

Lies

To
cheat
on you
would be like taking your mona lisa heart, and punching a hole right through
the canvas

You
who,
lifted
my
titanic anchored
soul
from
its
resting grounds

You
whose
cheeks shone
like
a
beacon
at the end of the
never ending
Blue Ghost Tunnel
The icy wind
crept
up
my
spine
Hauntingly beautiful
like
Picasso's Painting..........Old man with the guitar
but so eerie I was Shivering
I
blindly groped
the
dampened walls
But
Your
bubbly
Laughter
echoed
in my memories
You
whispered my name
and
I felt peace

I want to get all tangled up in your
arms
so
I
will know what it feels like
to rest upon the cumulo-nimbus clouds

I want
to hold your hand
through
the ancient
city
feel your
heartbeat
pound
in my palm rhythmically
Like Travis Barker
on his drumset Circa Blink 182

It started
to
rain
so
you wrapped your jacket
around me
Your
white Clash t-shirt
got soaked
and clung to you

You kissed me.
But you didn't know
that
your sighs
were like
truth serum
and it
was
calm
after
the storm
I had
been waiting for.
