Love Poem: Lexis

Lexis

The stage dimly lit
A song is playing
A goddess is dancing
And hearts she is taking

On her way through college
She is a working girl
Weekends and nights
Around a pole she swirls

More beautiful than any
Woman my eyes have seen
She is that of my own
And that I really mean

To some she seems
Like some object of tease
I only thought I would meet her
In that of my dreams

A true woman
And I am yet to find
Any word in diction for her
For she is one of a kind

Long lets
Brown hair
Enough to make
Any man stare

For any other woman
I have never felt this way before
All I want is her
And nothing more

If this thing is love
Then I am in free fall
We have been talking a lot lately
And I, so eager for each time she calls

She is a figure of beauty
The word she redefines
 But her true strength
Is that of her mind

She makes my thoughts spin
She makes me complete
I just can’t wait to see her again

I’ve never experienced
This feeling before
And I am going to stay
For I just can’t wait to feel more
