Letting Go Baby Maybe

Falling off you aint easy, you’re stuck here on my mind
Thinking passed the crazy is so damn hard to find
I make it in the sunburn - it bleaches you from my head
Then night hits like a hammer and I know for sure I’m dead

Remember when we made it, remember what you said
Remember how we laughed and cried, remember clashing heads
Remember nothing like it, before or ever since
Well princess, forget it... i aint that kind of prince

Yeah, I know I aint explaining why over has to be
When all the love and tender stuff is proud for all to see
But knowing that I love you is cause to set you free
Or rot in hell with this old man falling from his tree

Ever since I was a kid I prayed to one day hold
A peace inside to hold me right, inside from the cold
But old is wise and honest, and knowing right from wrong
And you’re just starting out sweet girl, whilst I’m a played out song

So now you have the ending, and why you’re free to go
You’ll pass me by soon enough that much I sure as hell do know
But think sometimes of this old sod, sinking in his time
Of why his love is the purest kind for leaving you behind

But think about the good times too, and how I made you feel
Relive all the memories, yeah, especially lovers’ hill
And if you think I’m bluffing, and you’re as wanting as me still
Forget the crap from this old hack, and let's go for the kill....
