Love Poem: Let Reason Take a Backseat

Let Reason Take a Backseat

He looks for verification to put the pieces together,
He makes an account under all types of weather,
He adds up reactions, he studies the heart,
He is continuously constructed by using his smarts,
Until one day something came along that made no sense,
For the life of him he couldn't figure it out in his head,
He ripped it apart for days and days,
But who said it had to do with his brain,
He was deceiving himself the whole entire time,
Because it had nothing to do with What went on in his mind,
He thought so much, his heart forgot how to feel,
He was way to busy always analyzing what felt real,
Compassion and forgiveness always had a reason,
Justified through self explanatory seasons,
Missing the target, fear was capturing his mind,
Keeping him away from loving his life,
The only way to free himself from the chains that bind,
Was to let reason take a backseat and let love guide his life.
