Love Poem: Last Love Song

Last Love Song

We twine like cats in a basket
In the light of a crocheted moon
Lips bathed in iridescent glow
Hot kisses that end much too soon

You lower me to green grasses,
Pulling me into loving arms
Where my pulse dances and sings to
To the fire of your passion’s charms

My heart beats wildly ‘neath my breast,
Seeking your touch on every space
To bring the fulfillment I crave
As our hearts continue to race

You are the one I will love ‘til
Time and existence end and fade
Then I will love you evermore
as our last love song is played.
