Love Poem: Just Me

Just Me

I never hold her eyes long enough
Shyness over comes me
I looked away and she slips away into the crowd
Another missed chance at a great love

Am to polite to do cat call
Rather I find it quite rude and inappropriate
Refusing to degrade her to a whistle, hey, YO MAMMA!
But I do find her to be incredibly alluring
Something my silent never betray

No liquid courage for me
Self courage often fails me
I hold our conversation in my head
Till fantasy overshadowed
Puff goes the reality of you and me
As time creates a distance that can't be breach

Am too vanilla for the like of online dating
I have no witty pick-up lines
Tinder is filled with hi, hello and mundane conversations
Urges on check
My wildest thought left dormant in the corner of my mind
Just can't seem to let go, relax, loosen up
Rather I patiently wait to be set free

Too afraid to cause offence
I live well within the margins
Nowhere close to the edge
No risk, no fun, Just Me
