Just Another Girl From Camp

Laying down on the pavement,
Looking up at the stars!
I’m thinking about you,
About how I wish you were lying down beside me.
We talked for 2 hours straight,
In the middle of the night.
Oh how I wish we could go back to then.
I would have talked till the sun came up.
I would have talked till we had nothing to say.
I wish we could talk like that every night.
I liked you from the moment I saw you,
At first it was just physical,
I will admit that.
But then I got to know you,
And now it’s so much more!
We have so much in common,
Like how we loved to just look up at the stars.
And how we both love to write.
And your writing is so beautiful.
I wish I was half as talented as you are.
Your voice is the voice of an angel,
Makes me feel like I’m in heaven.
Like I’ve died,
And been taken into the sky by your voice.
When I think of you,
A smile grows across my face.
Just thinking of you,
Makes the butterflies in my stomach dance
Just thinking of you,
Makes all the worries in the world go away.
Just thinking of you,
Makes me the happiest girl in the world.
But there’s one little problem,
You don’t even know I feel this way.
And you never will,
You’re happy with her, not with me.
And that’s just how things are meant to be.
So those butterflies stop
And the worries come back
My smile drifts away,
And I fade back into reality.
Back to where you’re the guy I love,
And I’m just another girl from camp.
