Love Poem: Just a Normal Day

Just a Normal Day

I woke in bed to find you'd fled, were now on sofa nesting,
My sleep though fair, so joined you there, with legs on my lap resting,
I held you soft, warmed by the loft of blankets where you huddled,
One hand held feet, one found breast treat, and dawn came as we cuddled.

A simple life, one man in love, new dreams rhyme with breath's intake,
A poetry, an artistry, without a scent of heartache,
Heigh ho! Heigh ho! Through life we go, our ways at times diverging,
At Kimmy's Bliss (1), more happiness, see head and verse converging.

Poet's Notes:
(1) Kimmy's Bliss is the name of my wife Kimmy's hair salon. I have a small desk and computer there also where I frequently write new poetry. Indeed, I pursue her always as I lust for art!
