Love Poem: Just a Game

Just a Game

Did I love you?
Given the years pass
Define being real?
Is there to be love to ask?

Seems rather its to withstand
Maintaining all there is if ever was
Perhaps all there be is a closer friend
No need for commitment for an after cause

Yet... simply love to be rounded up to
Like God... when reasons cannot be explained
Another to simply be played the fool
For life... simply isn’t if not just a game

I love you because humanity terms it so
As well do I hate to oppose
Is it God’s doing to each our role?
When be the last time I saw God up-close?

Love has taken its toll
I am the result, I am the proof
Playing with love by the rules
I played love as humanities’ fool
