I saw your beautiful face last night,
But it was just too good to be true-
It was still a beautiful sight.
When you faded away, my world went blue.
But it was just a dream.
I saw your bloodshot eyes last night,
It was you in your early days.
You faded with a fright,
It was just a dream, but it crushed my heart anyways.
I saw me hugging you last night,
I just couldn't believe it, and,
Something wasn't right.
Your expression was too bland.
I noted that it was just a dream,
And my heart turned into sand.
