Love Poem: Juliet
Frederic Parker Avatar
Written by: Frederic Parker

Juliet

Beyond green meadows humming birds slow flight
To gaze on beauty as she passes by
And jealous stars dim with a whispered sigh
When Juliet comes and her brightness lights
I am lonely when your gone Juliet
You came to love me when my need was king
And took my spirit from Winter to Spring
Filling my eyes like a fiery sunset

Oh, Juliet with eyes of a darker hue
Do you not see sun's setting red blush?
As you take my chalice filled with its pain
To let spill out, refill with love that's new
Curse its past with lover's passionate rush
Telling my heart why nature created you
