Love Poem: Joy Without End

Joy Without End

When I came to him that moment
There was a revelation, a realization
Reflections of desire and naked hope
Dreams on fire for the way he had
Of touching, embracing, whispering

Yearning hues of passion flowing
Through veins that bleed mysteries
Melancholy and whimsical longing
Want that is so strong and alive that it
Thrives with fires imploring the very soul

His hands are as steel yet so soft and real
They caress my very heart with their truth
Their inspiration and knowing and eager hope
Warming my senses with eternal bliss, pleasure
That fills me up with appreciation for his stroke

Did I ever know the way my body could feel?
Was I ever so sure that I knew sweet emotion?
Does my soul know how deeply it cares?
Can I ever find the means to give back to him?
This glorious insight into the heart and soul?

Prayers grace me with reminders that he is mine
He is wise and solid and resilient to the worries
That keep me from becoming reckless with my truth
The furious, blissful certainty that haunts hearts
With the knowledge that I have been loved beyond words

Nothing I can say will ever be enough to caress him
With the gentle truth that he has awakened inside me
Enlivening and inviting me to be his love, his joy, his life
Without any doubt, now, today and always, I am his
The one who loves without conditions or disillusionment

Together, we burn a fire that grows more aware, more
Intense and passionate with each embrace, each kiss
Each gentle caress that strokes tingles across the skin
That sheds a lingering desire brightening the fire within
The truth of two hearts who have become one secret dream

Together, we know joy that has no end!
