Jewels

Jewels You are the one that I love to tease. I lay on my back and stretch out my paws I give you that look, come pet me please! Mornings I come and sit near your door While bathing myself, you call my name, I hear your adoring calls that I just ignore. When you eat a meal I’ll sit near your feet, I voice my plea for a bite with my loud meow. Sometimes you share which I think is sweet. But there is a young girl about ten years old, She is the one i’ll always give all my love. She feeds me and with her I act very bold. She dances with me at a dizzying speed, She kisses and hugs me until I purr. Since a kitten she’s given me all I need. I always come to her whenever she calls me. She spoils me and carries me up the stairs. When she’s in the room she is all that I see. I am content in the sun splayed out on the floor I am a one person kitty, and that’s a true fact. So please don’t feel badly that I love her more. June 9, 2022 ~Second Place~ Personification- Pets Talking Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Constance La France
