Love Poem: Janette

Janette

Janette,
right in front of me
I see a face of regret and two eyes
that have been captivated by blindness;
Janette,
admit your guilt and accept the reality,
stop being selfish and silly...
be humble like me!

Janette,
in my presence, you reveal little joy;
have I denied you passionate kisses?
And if a hug is too little to make you happy,
what else can I give besides tenderness?
Janette,
are you the same woman
who had strong feelings for me?
Who has betrayed our trust and pretends to be
as faithful as you should be?
Aren't you surprised by my disdain?

Janette,
don't shake your tree,
nothing will fall out...
you have taken it all in stride
with one breath of greed,
and watching me bleed
you feel no sympathy for me;
Janette,
yesterday we fell madly in love, and tomorrow looked bright;
today, we're falling out of love and we're hurting our pride!
