I'Ve Been So Lucky In Life 1,2

I’ve Been So Lucky in Life! (1&2)
(Only Raped 5 Times Metaphorically)
Poem’s Introduction My poetry has always been about transparency. It’s about letting go of an effort to be liked by others, and allowing others to gravitate toward me (or not) based on who I am and how I truly feel about life. Yes, I even include the body I wake up in every morning (that is animated stardust that will soon be animated no longer [and thus grow entropy]). We all are imperfect and face difficulties. But the things that happen to us (that we don’t allow to break us) can help to make us better, more loving people. Life is a mixed bag for everyone, whatever our circumstances, but it is life, and I wish to celebrate God’s gift. I always hope to be able to embrace my life, to choose it to the end. Inshallah... 1. The Church Youth Sunday School, I think, was first to ‘shaft’ me with fake news (1) from teachers (likely raped themselves) still pregnant from sperm’s curse in world where church attendance rarely helps the poor know Christ. Testosterone’s orgasms claim Men’s faith is Bible-based. A laxative (their holy smoke) blown up caboose for tithes to help build up the clan, beat tom-toms for each faith’s WAR dance against ALL TRUTH (their faith can’t buy!) But LOVE rejects such claims! “Christ’s kingdom isn’t found on earth…” (2) To seek it just inflames the soul. It’s Grace Christ gives (unearned by deeds) that fuels bromance. The good we do comes through changed hearts! Inspired! (3) Satanic scythes, the death you hate, that’s not the way God rolls. Wine’s more Christ’s taste! Salvation’s gifts fill open hearts (4) (God’s LOVE IS warmth). Aren’t iced! Don’t pin your hopes on gifts you source’ Your best, at best’s perverse! (5) While Christ would dance with every soul down heaven’s avenues. (6) Poet’s Notes: (1) Fear (not LOVE) based theology like: a. Our church is God’s Church; all other faiths are satanic at their heart. The Pope IS Satan! b. People who don’t go to church are going to hell. c. True faith can entertain no doubts. God will punish you! d. Only those who tithe 10% (of all income) to our church’s ministry please God! c. Salvation’s only earned through works! d. Loving people who won’t say, “I believe in Jesus!” burn eternally! But God loves the rich! ………Phew! May Grace save me from such foolishness!....... e. And oh, my fav! All sexual thoughts endanger your soul, in marriage or out. (So, no dancing!) (2) John 18:36 “Jesus said ‘My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were…’ “ (3) James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above...” (4) 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” (5) 1 Corinthians 13:1 “If I speak in the tongues of or of angels, but do not have love…” (6) John 3:16 “For God so loved the world…” 2. The Fragile Bonds of Early Friends Our early friends are seldom friends that last throughout long life! When kids are young, their parents reign and meet most needs (with luck), school friends we hope might be our friends are there one day, then gone, so most rely on kith and kin’s protection when they’re young. Noon meals at home (school close) with sis and I three grades apart, But dad was strict; our food fueled fights about what we must eat. (1) Mom’s meals were good (when food we liked), but some of all found plate. I hated cheese which Holly liked (her challenge - broccoli) but serving food with cheese (without) was tedious to cook. Dad’s thumps ‘on bean,’ in bed while light, were torments doomed kids faced till we concocted strategy that helped us dampen fight. If one thought parent’s asks unfair, they’d also boycott food. This logic helped; it cooled things off; eased impact of Dad’s rule. At home, my sis and I formed pact that worked. But then cut knife of Jr. High, as kids my age from other schools converged to muck up all I thought I knew. More teachers too, untethered pawn (one step per turn), relationships (like ships at sea), land felt among life’s strangest things, the sea’s dark depths looked safer than my heart! A music camp in Gunnison (2) in summer seemed a treat. I sang with chorus, played in bands (French horn, piano)! Great! School dorm rooms (with paid counselors) have victims. One time me! ‘De-pantsings,’ bullies call a prank, were then in vogue and shook most younger victims. Angst filled school recess! Some got a taste and passed it on! Our ‘prefect’ (3) showed ‘black-balls’ to neophytes, a ‘friend’ from home joined this attack, (4) my pubic patch shaved nude, shoe polish used to paint stuff black! More boy’s life pain from school! Poet’s Notes: (1) My sister and I later discovered we both had fantasized about becoming scientists when we grew up who invented pills that one could take and never have to share a meal with anyone. (2) Gunnison, Colorado, hosted a 3-4 week music/band camp every summer that I attended several years in a row. (3) A prefect is a kind of monitor chosen by teachers to help maintain discipline. They are also purposed to serve as a kind of counselor to younger students. (4) I dreamed of inflicting great pain one day on this ‘friend’ but never did so. 3. The Nation’s Draft 4. American Capitalism 5. American Health Care 6. Freedom of Religion / A Constitutional Guarantee Clearly, I've more work to do!
