Its Autumn Now- Summers End Contest

The end of summer looms
Just memories now
Of nights of passion and
Dips in the pool

Walking by the shoreline
Sand between your toes
Hand in hand you saunter
Talking, laughing, with your love

Soon the autumn will be upon us
Bringing pictures of many hues
The chestnut tree full of conkers
Every little boys dream

The nip in the air brings
colour to your cheeks
The walk by the shore
no-more bare feet

Birds migrating to the sun
Wood smoke in the air,
soon Christmas will come.
Making snowmen with flair

Summer's end, it has put on a show
Flowers of many colours
Smells of barbecues
Dreams made and broken

It's autumn now.
