I’m sorry I never meant to make you cry, shed a tear nor wipe it away, hurt your heart when all I wanted was for us to be together like seasons of the year.
I’m sorry my words chased you away and not bring you close, always asked how you felt but realised to late of your worth.
I’m sorry I will never be held again in those loving arms, feel that embrace both day and night that soothed my soul. Entwine my fingers with those of yours, soft and gentle that moved over me like a springtime breeze.
I’m sorry for the wrong I did, never knowing because I was never told please forgive and fill that spot in my heart you now have emptied. Silently crying out for you to come back one more time, lift me up to that place you always did with kind simple words.
I’m sorry for many things, but not for how my heart sang when you were near, for the sounds of joy when you came my way.
I can admit I am wrong for I am a man , listen to my words as I bare my soul, I may not say the 3 words they say all girls wish to hear, but when I do know it’s from deep within and for all time.
