I'M So Lucky

I'm So Lucky!
So lucky! I’ve this fantasy that you’re so dumb you’ll stay with me! You still love Trump! What’s that about? Explains first verse, so who’s to pout! Friends look askance, affect chagrin! But ‘screw the pooch,’ I still can win, your logic rarely doubts my heart, the love you give, I swear’s more art. A ‘highwire act in hurricane,’ who’d dare presume to think you sane! Does magic rule the world we’re in, or grace prevails (to vanquish sin)? It’s not that pain can’t visit us, but should it come, we hop a bus! Your arms define my place, a home; You’re rock on sand, air’s cloud, sea’s foam. Brian Johnston 16th of September in 2020
