I'll Trade a Laugh for a Kiss

It was once wise to invest in steel, yup,
In days of yesteryear.
Now, they say that fine art and gold are up.
All things change with time, dear.

Then, I'd scale the steepest mountain to reach
That pinnacle of bliss.
Yep, I would without pride, to you beseech -
Anything for your kiss!

'Tis fine art in a frame - you as a girl
In a picture, so old.
Now, there's nothing I would not do, my pearl,
To hear your laugh like gold!
