I'Ll Love You Just the Same

As surely as the winter melts away into the spring;
So surely as the robins come with mallards on the wing;
As surely as the summer comes and fades away to fall,
You’ll be the only one I love; the girl who’s best of all.

Every day I’ll love you just the same;
Each night I’ll be whispering your name.
Wishing you were here again;
Wishing you could love me like back then,
When life was sweeter than the sweetest rose that grew --
And though you’re gone, I’m still in love with you.
Can’t help but wonder if you ever think of me,
And when you promised love as long as life could be.
A promise is a promise, and I’m keeping it for good.
If you could only come again I surely wish you would.

As surely as the sunrise blooms above the mountain peaks;
So surely as the minutes turn to hours, days, and weeks;
As surely as the new moon slowly grows into a full,
The things I think and feel are far beyond my own control.

As surely as the starlight shines, and dippers dip the sky;
So surely as Aquila soars, so long as Cygnus flies;
As surely as the clouds drop rain, and light makes rainbows shine,
This long will you be in my heart, and every dream of mine.
