If You Were Gone

Days have come and days have gone, from blazing dawn till setting sun, you know
it's been so long it seems, since we were you and fancy free. I find comfort in your
arms your smile it warms me like the sun, you hold my hand and I am strong, How
could I live if you were gone?

The world seems so much colder now, my eyes see differently somehow, one thing
still remains you make me happy just the same.

When we lay down in bed at night I feel your warmth right by my side, then I thank
the Lord above, What would I do without your love. I find comfort in your arms, your
smile it warms me like the sun, you hold my hand and I am strong, how could I live if
you were gone?

Sometimess the words I say, don't express what I really want to say,
that you are there to truly love and share. Then one day you had to fly,
way up to heaven oh so high, you could never count the tears I cried,
cause you are no longer by my side. No more comfort in your arms,
no smile to warm me like the sun, no hand to hold and make me strong,
How can I live now that you are gone?

In loving memory of my wife Claudia Janell Embry Ross- 1952-1985-
I never got to say goodbye, I still miss you so very much.
