Love Poem: If You Let Me

If You Let Me

If you let me

You threw away
all of your mirrors...
cause, you don't like
who you see there

You've wasted so
much time...
hiding away from yourself
oh oh

You try to escape
from your shadow...
in the dark of night

Isn't it about time,
to start feeling good,
about you, oh yeah

Bridge
You shut everyone else out...
you just, don't feel worthy, oh no
You closed tightly...
the door to your affections,
but, I'm gonna...pick the lock

Chorus

If you let me,
maybe I can show you
If you let me,
I can be your mirror
I can show you...
I can show you...
All the beauty, that you hide
Oh please, let me show you,
the beautiful you...inside.

You avoid everything
around you,
that shows your reflection

You buy
the baggiest of clothes...
to hide...
your ugly body

Why do you keep on
telling yourself ...
that same old lie

Why can't you ...
allow yourself
to love you, for you

Bridge
You shut everyone else out...
you just, don't feel worthy, oh no
You closed tightly...
the door to your affections,
but, I'm gonna...pick the lock

Chorus

If you let me,
maybe I can show you
If you let me,
I can be your mirror
I can show you...
I can show you...
All the beauty, that you hide
Oh please, let me show you,
the beautiful you...inside.

Chorus repeat
