If You Knew That Tonight Would Be

If You Knew That Tonight Would Be by Rick Rucker If you knew that tonight would be Your last on Earth, would you spend it with me? Laughing like we now are, Driving around in a car? Could I steal this kiss, Unafraid the light we'd miss? Talking about silly things, Movie tickets, silver rings? Would you hug me, here and now? And not care how Others might think us crass and vile? Hold me for a little while? Our hold on life is brief, at best, I do not want to fail The Test, The one that tells if you love, Your Heart as peaceful as a Dove, Yet you can still start a riot, Though, at the start it might be quiet, Building quickly, caution gone, Rolling around on a lawn, After all the times we've kissed, Would I still be on your bucket list? 'Cause I will tell you, if I knew, I'd meet Eternity with You! I'd gladly watch the Earth crumble under my feet, To spend a second more with you, My Sweet!
