If the Blood Doesn'T Dry

I've been through so much pain, and I'm still healing
Some of us take longer to heal than others
I don't know how long I'm going to have to suffer
Will you still accept me, if the blood doesn't dry and my scars continue bleeding?

I'm stronger than most, because I make sure to feel my pain
I get back up every time I'm knocked down, no matter how long it takes
Sometimes when I'm in the sunshine I still feel the rain
I make it to where I'm headed, even if I have to go the longest way

We all get scarred, and we're all affected different
Some hide it, and act like the scar doesn't exist
You can hide it from the world, but it's something your heart can't miss
I acknowledge all my scars and refuse to bandage them up while the bloods still dripping

If there's still blood, it means there's still feelings left
If I cover it too quick, it means my feelings will be suppressed
And they'll be twice as hard to deal with at a later date
That's part of the reason, I have old wounds that are still bleeding today

That's because when I was younger I went through so much I couldn't deal with
I buried the hurt, but it came back to life and forced me to feel it
Now I'm suffering twice as bad and just trying to cope
I put on a smile for the world, because they judge when one of your scars show

I've been through so much pain, and I'm still healing
Some of us take longer to heal than others
I don't know how long I'm going to have to suffer
Will you still accept me, if the blood doesn't dry and my scars continue bleeding?
