Love Poem: If My Muse Were Here

If My Muse Were Here

If my muse chose to leave the comfy clouds
To give me a hand in toiling this land
Pray, I trust he would be one so bold,
So ferocious, yet, so tender at the same time!
With the world he would battle
So as to have me smiling at all times
While to my heart he would have submitted
Fearing neither the loss of his ego nor that of his might!
Yes, if my muse chose to be human,
He would make sure that to him solely I remain attracted
While keeping, around him, an air of solid authority
One which would give the world the impression that I merely obey!
When instead, I become the one to rule, with my feminine gait
My creative tempo and my hidden world
To him I would have unveiled my soul, fearing naught
For, after all, my muse already knows me inside out!
Pray, together, we would have walked on forbidden paths
When the sun would have dozed off and we would have attempted
To build a ladder so high, that climbing it would have allowed us both
To reach the comfy clouds, the glowing moon and the realm of dreams!
If my muse were here, on Earth, pray, he would have me enlaced
At all times, in between the arms of his love
Caring solely to glorify me and my load of imperfections
So that, to be allowed to glance at the depth of his eyes each night
I would have made it a must to beg Death to allow us an eternity to love!
