Love Poem: If Love and Care Be

If Love and Care Be

If love and care be like
The material the wealth and the riches
That people hug that people kiss
Ready to undo anything between them
By control plus X

If love and care be like
The clean water in a desert spring
That people stage athletic races
Competing to suck and sprinkle with
Their tongues to lick

If love and care be like
The bodies we carry with us
And the heels on our limbs
A thorn can’t survive a day
By the needle we unthorn

If love and care be
The gourds full of milk
We shake firm with care
Not to let spill a drop
With tongues we wipe spillover

If love be like the urge-
To urinate and throw dungs
However much the limited time
The former and latter can’t hang
With tissues careful to wipe safe’
