Love Poem: If Its You

If Its You

There's a tree somewhere in a park nearby
where your name will be carved next to mine,
with a heart in the middle.

Where lovers quarrel just to make up,
where bees and flowers fall in love,
and children giggle.

That's where, that's where, that's where...
we'll know we fell in love.
Just not yet, not yet, not yet.

There's a bottle out there with a paper inside and nothing to say
except 'I love you' in my handwriting as it floats on waves.
And you'll take my heart to sea.

When we swim the Atlantic on our honeymoon,
you'll find a bottle that you reach into
and fall even more in love with me...
not yet, not yet, not yet.

I'll love you more than I can
when we're both ready.
I'll never again touch another man
when we're both ready.

I've fallen in love
and if I fall again
its gonna be you.

Falling isn't fun
when you gotta get up again,
but I'll never get up again
if it's you.
If it's you.
If it's you.
Please be you.
