If I Loved You

Incredible isn’t it?
You, a man, asking me, a woman
To repair your love affair!!
Am I your trusted friend?

Very well, did you send her some roses?
Yellow ones! You’re daft.
Man, don’t you know that red is love?
You’re not much of a romantic, are you!
Perhaps you should write her a poem.
And don’t expect me to write it for you.

Incredible! He doesn’t know what to write!
Tell her you love her till the end of times!
Praise her virtues…oh, so she hasn’t got any!
Is that your opinion of her?
I wonder why you love her.
Bet it’s her figure that attracts you!

Listen if you love someone it should be
Because she means everything to you.
I think you are too immature. Forget her.
And no, I will not go out with you.
I don’t love you. Why?
If I loved you, you would mean everything to me.
But you don’t. I have another who does.
To me he is everything. Besides him,
The sun goes into eclipse and we just love
To dance all night upon the moonbeams.
So leave me be. Some men are simply hopeless.
