I Will Never Forget
I will never forget certain
Family members who passed away
And the good times we
Shared together
There were the ones
Who told the corny jokes
And you laughed
Not because it was funny but
Because it was so corny
Then you had the chefs
The ones who left the meat
On the grill a little to long and
It came off with lots of burnt grill marks
And you scrap the burnt part off
And ate it anyway
Then you had the party goers
The ones that had a little
To much to drink then
Begin to voice their opinions, loudly
Then you had the veterans
The ones who argued back and forth
About which military branch was the best
The army or the air-force
Then there were the card sharks
And domino players
Who only played for money and
Stayed up all night for
The love of the game
They were the family entertainers
And that’s something you’ll
Never forget !
