I Want a Divorce

I Want a Divorce

I want a divorce and I want it right now.
I can't live with you anymore, anyhow.
My life is in torment from loving you.
It's like loving a rock that said I do.

Your heart is as cold as cold can be.
Like living in Winter's deep frigidity.
No emotions come, no passions to bare.
Only anger's curse is what you share.

It takes two to make a marriage grow strong.
To create a love that will last a full life long.
But I stand here now with a sad, broken heart.
One that you've seen fit to rip and tear all apart.

I've tried my best to love you where you were.
But it just wasn't enough for your heart to stir.
I knew it when I married you and ignored it so.
That little small voice in me that shouted "NO"!

How can God expect me to live like this.
A commitment of love that went far amiss.
You've made my life a little Hell on Earth.
I given more to this marriage than it's worth.

No time to waste, I can't take another minute.
I want my life back in full without you in it.
Let's see a lawyer and break this stale vow.
I want a divorce and I want it right now!

How can God expect us to live like this.
