Love Poem: I Saw a Photograph

I Saw a Photograph

I saw the love of my life in a picture
One i had not seen before
The photograph was old
The colors were some how vivid
She was younger then, in the flash
Of a moment , I saw her in the
Sunlight to bright for my eyes
She smiled, her smile and
The sun Became one
I saw a photograph where
I lingered leaning shoulder against the door way
Destiny took the place of harmony
She was in the flesh yes
We're destined to become drenched
In the heat of passion we moaned
She was here in my embrace
And I in her arms in the heat
Of the eternal moment I was there
The shock of it all hurled me back to
Reality I sat in a dimly lit room
Holding a photograph of
Myself lingering in a doorway alone
