I Miss You

Long ago and across the sea
Our love was bound through destiny
Though lightening flashed and thunder rolled
We survived as one truth be told
Envy of the loveless hearts
Selfless souls who throw sharp darts
Invisible beneath their eyes
Our love is joined no one the wise
Absorb these words sip their taste
One day my soul we will make haste
To a lair safe and free
Where the loveless will not be
I trust you know what I mean
You lust for the same as me
Centuries have held us back
Souls like ours will never crack
Long ago across the sea
I kissed your lips and set you free
A taste of you I have not known
So sweet and lovely to the bone
A place within my heart I hold you
Forever interwoven I bid adieu.
