I Love You, I Love You, I Love You

I love you, I love you, I love you

I wanted new wars and adventure. You wanted soft hands in your hands, someone to hold you tightly in the coldness of the lonely night. You were my Scotland beauty attempting to slow down a man who could not learn retreat.

False illusions of perfect life blinded me. I learn too late, I was betrayed by my dreams. I had love and lost her. I would roam to the small lake and whisper. I love you, I love you, I love you. Secret words fleeing into the gentle breezes.

I told the young couple fighting in a tavern at Fort Lewis. The past is lost. You cannot return to where you are, better to hold on to silence and hold on tighter. Sweet woman saw in my eyes. Deep sorrow of things I have done. She thanks me. Young couple found silence and held hands. She told me, thank you Johnnie. Thank you for interrupting us. I love him, I love him, I love him. I would be alone without his embrace. He heard the words and came to her and held his love. I told them.

A hollow heart is a lonely heart. A sorrowful heart is forever. Love is rare. A true gift given and few appreciate till the love is gone and cannot be found. Better to find the things that made you one. Forget the naysayers and forgive the mistakes.

I went to England. I saw the Ivory Coast of England. I told the walls of white. Tell my Scotland beauty. She was my sweetest hours and best days and nights. I love you, I love you, I love you.

The setting sun upon a long life. Old man is thankful for kind woman and memories of a kind woman who told him.

Can’t live for greed, war and self. You must know life isn’t only you. It is what you do good in your life and what you loved.
