I Have Everything
I HAVE EVERYTHING
I have everything, but you, my love
I am nothing, alas a mourning dove
I drown in my sorrow of tears wept
Holding old memories, of you I kept
Photos hang on the walls, I see you
Looking back with eyes of grey-blue
With silent communication often talk
Long summer days, we used to walk
Winding roads, which had no ending
Under the sun, with light descending
Photos shadowed with evening dusk
Fleeting aromas of your bodily musk
Candles lit; that I burn in your name
My tear's weep, they have no shame
Wishing you here, besides to me lain
Healing this broken heart that I feign
As morning came the candles waned
A new day sun on the photo frames
As again . . .
With silent communication often talk
Long summer days, we used to walk . . .
