I Fell In Love With Her

The woman in front of the mirror
Staring back at her a reflection
Wishing her so slender
Hurting her soul so tender
I can’t stop admiring
At her innermost beauty
Even though it didn’t get her attention
I still fell in love with her…

The lady of my life.
I can’t deny it.
As years passed by,
I watched her grow.
So beautiful, she bloomed,
Into an African mama.
Swung her boutilicious body
Though she considered it as fat,
Denied her self to eat
led by her own imperfection
Lost in her own imagination
Of being a size two.
I felt sorry for her
Though I was still in love with her.

Seasons passed,
She was still beautiful,
Though they lured her
She still kept herself
Made her appreciate
The only thing that kept her going
Knowing she deserves more
Than what they can offer
The rib they bear
It’s too much for them to surrender.

Even though she fell,
My love for her grew
I wish she knew
How I take care of her daily
I still hold her arms
I still wipe her own tears,
I still make her smile even when her heart breaks
Am still and alwayz will be in love with her.
