my mind seems calm
but i can’t breathe
my insides overtaken
my body tense it cannot breathe
thoughts of you consume me
as if gasping for oxygen
how long has it been

how much longer can this go on

my muse and confidante the moon
no one else knows no one knows
i close my eyes at night
to thoughts of you
still i cannot breathe
